Aurassure was looking to manufacture an enclosure for the protection of the quality monitoring device which is responsible for measuring the levels of different pollutants in the air. The enclosure is designed such that sustainability and resilient factor is considered to ensure continuous monitoring of air quality in real-time with the integration of features such as automatic calibration and remote configuration.

The enclosure was manufactured by executing a series of operations on the sheet metal carefully managed to produce a high-quality, durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing end product. The in-house manufacturing team also ensured that the final product meets the necessary specifications while improving efficiency, reducing lead times, and controlling costs.
Laser cutting was employed for the machining of sheet metal to incorporate highly accurate and precise cuts along with quick turnaround times. It also enables versatility in the design phase, minimizes waste and increases the cost-effectiveness of the entire operation.
In order to provide a sturdy design with durable and long-lasting resistance to chemicals and corrosion, the manufacturing team of Karkhana.io recommended a 7-tank powder coating to the enclosure. As part of the process, Zinc Phosphate Solution was applied which helps in making the coating of the sheet metal surface smooth and uniform.
Additionally, in order to ensure a strong and permanent connection to the enclosure clinch nuts were installed by swaging or crimping the metal around the flared end of the clinch nut securing a fast, efficient, and reliable connection. The sheet metal parts were CO2 welded and silicon sealant was applied in order to seal the joints and gaps. The sealant was applied in a smooth and continuous bead which is designed to expand and contract with the metal providing a long-lasting and weather-resistant seal.
