Preference
Experience in Quality with the equipment/machine manufacturing & sheet metal fabrication industry.
Role & responsibilities
- Inspection of Part/Assembly raw material stage to final stage, as per the drawings, different codes, standards like ASME.
- Stage-wise inspection of welding & fabrication like joint fit-up, welding inspection, NDT (DP Test), components inspection, final inspection like leakage testing by hydraulic & pneumatic etc.
- Inspection of post process like coating, shot blasting and painting.
- Establish quality processes at existing suppliers to meet customer-specific requirements
- Non-conformance resolution with suppliers; coach suppliers for root cause analysis, and the execution of robust corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure regular inspection of all the orders as per the schedule providedto the customers.
- Guide Fabrication team for the queries that include Part Identification, Orientation, Welding etc.
- Analysing inspection results against standards and reporting deviations and taking corrective and preventive action accordingly after finding the root cause.
- Coordinate with Project team for smooth quality inspection and handle day to day quality issues.
- Preparation of PDI reports for all the dispatches.
- Handle third party inspection and monitor their activities.
- Manage vendor audits,and do timely visits (approx.60% travel per month) to supplier facilities across India.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Automotive/Aerospace Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience in CNC Machining/Sheet Metal, Stamping related operations.
- Experience and knowledge of all the quality management systems, compliance requirements (testing, certification, and inspection) and conformity assessments.
