The Role
In this quest to transform manufacturing, we know that our greatest asset is our team. We are looking for a Business Development Manager who is keen to build India’s foremost manufacturing services brand and be a part of the team to realize the vision for #MakeInIndia together. The BD Manager will lead the sales efforts within our target sectors, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in B2B business development, a deep understanding of manufacturing/supply chain, and a proven track record of meeting revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Hunt for new clients who will benefit from the company’s services and maximise client potential in designated regions.
• Own the entire process of identifying prospects, pursuing and converting into an order.
• Technically understand customer pain points and requirements and translate the same to sourcing & operations team to improve conversion ratio.
• Be a team player and improve customer satisfaction by being the bridge between the Customer and the internal team.
• Develop a thorough understanding of our pricing mechanism and translate the same to a customer offer.
• Manage difficult situations with customers and hand hold them for long term success
• Work with defined targets and bring planning and execution rigour towards building a strong pipeline, converting orders, delivery and billing.
Critical factors for success
• 12-15 years of technology/manufacturing related B2B sales or business development experience
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend events
