Compared with virgin PA 66, this 30 % glass fibre reinforced and heat stabilised nylon grade offers increased strength, stiffness, creep resistance and dimensional stability whilst retaining an excellent wear resistance. It also allows higher max. service temperatures.
Tensile Yield Strength (MPa): 85
Elongation at Break: 5%
Shore Hardness: 80D
Nylon 12 has exceptionally strong resistance to cracking under stress, including instances when it encapsulates metal components, and provides excellent resistance to abrasion. It absorbs very little moisture, which allows components made from Nylon 12 to retain a high degree of dimensional stability. It dampens noise and vibrations even in environments with high frequency cyclic loading.
Tensile Yield Strength (MPa): 48
Elongation at Break: 18%
Shore Hardness: 75D
